Veterinarian

Dr. Jessica Collins

Dr. Collins (owner) grew up in La Porte, Indiana on a small farm. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2016, and works with both large animals and companion animals on a routine basis. Dr. Collins raises pygmy goats, ducks, chickens, and pheasants. She remains actively involved with 4-H. She now has 2 sons, Zachary & Aiden, who keep her busy.

Technicians & Assistants

Christy (RVT) - (Left) Christy graduated from Purdue University's Veterinary Technology program in 2017. She worked at a mixed animal clinic in Lebanon, IN before starting at Bourbon Veterinary Hospital in 2019. She grew up raising cattle and goats and enjoys spending time with her dog Mavrick, working with livestock, and being active in 4-H and Indiana Young Farmers.

Sarah (RVT) - (Right) Sarah graduated from Purdue University's Veterinary Technology program in 2020. While in school, she worked in the small animal surgery department. Sarah started working at Bourbon Veterinary Hospital in August of 2020. When Sarah is not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband.

Shelbi - (Center) Shelbi started working in the veterinary field right out of high school in 2018 in a general practice. In October 2020, she transitioned to working emergency at EVCC (where she met Dr. Collins) and has worked at both their Westville and Mishawaka locations. In June 2026, she decided to return to general practice and started working at Bourbon Veterinary Hospital. When Shelbi is not working, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Coby and their 3 dogs, camping, and riding her horse. Shelbi is also excited to finish her veterinary technology degree.

Office Staff

Renae - Renae started working at Bourbon Veterinary Hospital in August of 2021. She grew up on a farm raising and showing livestock. She graduated from Ancilla with a degree in Animal Sciences in December of 2021. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Oakley, showing cattle, and volunteering with the Marshall County 4-H program.

Christina - Christina started working at Bourbon Veterinary Hospital in September 2021. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her loving husband, kids, fabulous grandbaby, and her 3 dogs and 2 cats. She also enjoys coffee, shopping, and spending time outdoors.
